As Water Scarcity becomes more and more prevalent throughout the globe, discussions questioning whether or not free access to water is a human right have become a hot topic in both the United Nations and throughout the relationships between big corporations and developing nations. In 2010, the United Nations declared access to clean water a human right, however, water scarcity remains a problem all around the world. It is estimated that between 10 - 20 million deaths can be attributed to a lack of safe drinking water each year. The goal of this debate is to explore different solutions that achieve both a free market for companies in the water privatizing business and provide everyone with accessible, affordable, and safe drinking water.
