African Structural Adjustment addresses the World Banks attempt to aid developing markets to move away from a government-controlled economy. It turns out, however, that SAPs oftentimes hurt African nations by sending them further into debt and force nations to privatize markets and take back subsidies causing the existing domestic markets to ultimately fail. Delegates will need to consider multiple perspectives in order to reach a viable solution in this debate.
